Each SunsetStitch piece is made by hand, by one maker, in editions of three to twelve. When the edition closes, it does not return. The fibre, the colour, the character — gone into the homes it was sent to.
We make very little, on purpose. A single crochet hook, a small shelf of natural fibres, and the patience to let each piece take the weeks it takes. We do not restock. We do not scale. The edition number is the promise — this is the only run, and when it closes, the piece exists only in the homes it was sent to.
Every piece in the edition is numbered, signed, and recorded below. When the remaining count reaches zero, the piece moves to the archive and is never made again. The fibre lot may differ slightly between objects in the same edition — that is the character of the material.
Each piece below is shown as it was photographed in studio light, before numbering. The object you receive will carry its edition number and the maker's mark on the inner seam.
A small hanging ornament worked in cotton blend yarn, with a soft cotton fill. The colour blocks — green, brown, white — reference the coastal scrub at dusk. Each chick takes around six hours at the hook; the edition will not be repeated once closed.
A palm-sized stuffed heart worked in a gradient of pink cotton yarn. Designed to be held, not displayed — the weight settles in the hand. Each piece takes four hours; the gradient is hand-mixed, so no two hearts carry the exact same shade transition.
Every piece in the edition passes through the same four stages, in the same order, by the same pair of hands. There is no production line. There is no second maker. The timeline below is for a single object — the edition simply means the sequence is repeated.
These editions have closed. The fibre lots that made them are exhausted, and the stitches will not be repeated. They are listed here as a record of what has existed, and what the owners now hold.
We open the waitlist twice a year, for the spring and autumn editions. When a piece is released, waitlist members receive a private link forty-eight hours before it appears on this page. Most editions close within that window. There is no obligation to buy — only the option to see it first.
